Dig
To help our clients we need to know as much as possible about them and their business. So how do we do this without completely bombarding you with phone calls and emails every 5 minutes?
We have a series of questions we ask which give us some of the information we need, but the best part of our time is spent really getting to know the people in the business. Who you are, what you do, why you do it and if you love cheese? Ok, we can be flexible about the last one, but you get the idea.
The following methodologies help us gain the necessary information required to complete your project to the highest standards.
- Client Questionnaire
- Strategic Brief
You can always speak directly to any member of the team. We feel it’s important to be as accessible as possible, especially when the project has such tight deadlines. Using our CRM System means no-one is ever “our of the loop” if a stage of the project has been discussed individually.
Plan
We plan each stage of the project in detail, agreeing specifications, clarifying website functionality, setting objectives, understanding desired outcomes, and agreeing milestones and sign off points.
In an initial kick off meeting we agree the level of communication you’ll expect and require. We agree the best form of contact, the best times for you to be able to talk or respond to emails and the regularity. In every case we send a weekly email update on an agreed day of the week. We’ll review the agreed times and regularity throughout the project, making sure they still fit with everyone’s given situations.
In this meeting we also agree who ultimately has the final sign off for design work and how they would like to receive the concepts.
With all projects it’s a two way street. We’ll require timely feedback from you to be able to deliver the project in the given timeframes. We’ll include critical points in the project plan so you are aware of the input required from you at these times, and what delays at each stage will mean to achieving the overall delivery timeframes.
Design
Our Design Process explains the way we work to achieve the most effective and efficient solutions.
Depending on the project we’ll look at defining your brand, creating your identity, setting the hierarchy and layout of your website, wire framing the structure, and creating mood boards to set the style and tone of the design.
The intention of these mood boards is to include a series of elements that might feature in the final design. For example:
- Typography / Fonts
- Colours
- Placements
- Symbols
Mood boards are quick to produce, flexible enough to accommodate a combination of approaches (for example, using colours from one mood board with fonts from another) and they involve everybody in the design process, which is ultimately the key to success.
We then deliver the best concepts to communicate your dreams & visions, and then on to the finer details. Does this font say "stylish"?. What colour says "trustworthy" and so on until it’s the right fit for your target audience.
Deliver
When you're happy with the final concept, we can polish the edges and get it ready for launch. We make a final check to confirm we're all happy, and then deliver you your solution.
Grow
Going forward we schedule regular 2/3 monthly update meetings to ensure the site is delivering at all levels.
