Urban Ruins
See how a Brooklyn based graphic designer brings old ruined buildings back to life with the use of some amazing photography
Tom Kirsch is a 27 year old graphic designer who has a passion for exploring old derelict buildings and taking eerily beautiful photographs of them.
His website, Opacity, features photographs from all around Europe and the USA. Kirsch risks life and limb to get these amazing photos as most of the locations are literally in-ruins. Most of the buildings are also private property so he is also very likely to get arrested, so don’t be trying this at home! .... disclaimer
Some of the featured destinations include an old disused Stella Artois brewery, a deactivated missile base, old psychiatric centers, and an old disused ski resort
I’m a Make Your Mark Ambassador!
Kelly Molson of Upshire based creative design agency Rubber Cheese, has been appointed an official ambassador for the Make Your Mark campaign.

Make Your Mark is the national campaign to unlock the UK’s enterprise potential. It inspires people to have ideas and make them happen and aims to create a culture which supports enterprising people and recognises that making money and having a positive social impact can go hand in hand.
The campaign is brought to life through the inspirational stories of successful entrepreneurs and enterprising individuals in the world of work, which is why Kelly has been chosen. Kelly is already making her ideas happen by continuing to grow her Graphic Design Agency along with business partner Paul Wright.
“I’m thrilled to be part of such an amazing campaign. Rubber Cheese’s success is built on hard work, real world experience and valuable contacts. If we can share our experiences and inspire someone else to give it a go – great! I’ve always recommended getting out and meeting people in business and have to thank Broxbourne’s own Networking Guru Andy Lopata for putting me forward as a Make Your Mark Ambassador”
You can view Kelly’s story here. http://www.makeyourmark.org.uk/inspiring_stories/kelly_molson
Eimear Hale, from Make Your Mark, said: “A Make Your Mark ambassador is an individual who can use their experience to inspire others and encourage them to turn their ideas into reality. Ambassadors are central to the campaign’s aim of increasing entrepreneurial motivation and experience. Kelly will join a network who together will inspire people across the UK to take the plunge and make their ideas happen.”
There are 600 Make Your Mark Ambassadors across the UK committed to telling their inspiring stories via events, school visits and the media. Their efforts will inspire others to go out and make their dreams a reality.
