The Beautiful Game!

Arsenal 4 - Spurs 4 ... would anyone have bet on that? OH YES THEY DID!!!

The Beautiful Game!

At Rubber Cheese towers we are Spurs through and through… ( well nearly through and through, but we won’t mention a certain person who isn’t )

After seeing high scoring matches in previous years between Spurs and Arsenal, I thought I’d have a cheeky bet and put a couple of quid on Spurs to draw with Arsenal 4 - 4.

It didn’t look like we had a chance, and my bet was going to be added to the scrap heap of silly bets placed over the years.

That was until the last minute! Jenas scored a cracking solo effort, and then to seal an unbelievable draw, a Lennon tap in from a Modric shot off the post!
C’MON YOU SPURS!

The odds of a 4 - 4 draw? 500 - 1!

Lovely Jubbly! The money is going straight into my wedding fund!

As you can see from this video. We wern’t the only ones that it meant a lot to:

The Pavement Artist

Most people have seen an example of his pavement art, but who is he?

The Pavement Artist

Most people have probably had an email appear in their inbox with the title - “Wow - Amazing Pavement Street Art” or something along those lines!

Anyhow, the guy who has been creating these amazing projected pieces of art is called Julian Beever. He is an English chalk artist, and the projected style of art that he produces is called, anamorphosis. It creates an illusion that the artwork is three dimensional when viewed at the right angle.

Beever is an accomplished Wall Mural artist and also specialises in fine art paintings. He has worked as a freelance performer for many companies all around the world.

Take a look at his website to see some of his amazing pieces of art. Julian Beever Website

Rubber Cheese Rangers Kick Off!

Rubber Cheese Rangers kicked off the start of the season with a 7-2 defeat!

It hasn’t been the best of starts for Rubber Cheese Rangers. The first league game of the season has started off with a 7-2 thrashing from Stort Valley. Stort Valley were also promoted last season to Division 2 of the Terry Reed League but have had a much better start than the mighty RC Rangers!

The game started with the new RC signings playing well, but it all went down hill after 20 minutes, when Ben (our new striker) was carried off the pitch after a nasty challenge from a Stort Valley player. We never seemed to keep our shape after Ben went off, and things went from bad to worse!

It is not all doom and gloom though, as RC Rangers have a lot of new faces playing for us this year, one of them being Luke Hayden who scored a contender for goal of the season, on his debut!

So the team are only just starting to gel together and know who each other are. The new transfers look like hot property, and the old players are just warming up! I’m sure it won’t be long before we are back at the top of the table, where we belong!
