The brief

Rubber Cheese were approached by TAC to help them pitch a new concept to their clients, building on an already successful working relationship.

We were asked to design a series of interactive display screens, to show the user how an office building is working and how energy efficient the building is. TAC felt that it would be beneficial to their clients if the interactive screen concepts were designed by a company that did not have an engineering background, as they would need to be easily used by anyone.

The solution

We created a fixed size screen that could either be used on a normal computer monitor, or be used as a touch screen display. Simplicity for the user was the key, so we created display icons for each area of the building with rollovers and warning icons for when a problem arises in a certain area. We then created an easy to use navigation structure, so all areas could be accessed from any screen.

TAC have since pitched these concepts to their client and been successful in winning the contract.
