What We Do

Questions We’re Often Asked

We often get asked questions about how we work, what we do and where did the Rubber Cheese name come from? Here’s some answers:

Q: Who do you work with?

Our clients range from rather impressive multinationals to rather impressive start ups. Typically they tend to come from the food, drink, hospitality and health sectors. Some of our clients include Pernod Ricard, Ark Schools, the Restaurant Group and the NHS.

Q: What do you do?

In essence we solve design, marketing and digital challenges. Take a look at our services for more detail or if you’d like to talk to one of us please call 01279 883119.

Q: Can you talk me through how you actually work with your clients?

It’s taken many years of continued refinement to identify a way that works for both us and our clients.

Typically a project is broken down into strategic stages that help our clients feel part of the process from start to finish. Clear goals and outcomes are set and agreed by all parties. We then look to our clients to provide clear communication for the duration of the project as this is the glue to it all. Take a look at our work process page for more details.

Q: Why do your clients stick around?

The million dollar question! This is what some of our clients said when we ran a confidential survey...

  • Friendliness and frank - always positive, keen to help, but up front about limits/ deadlines. That's a rare balance.
  • The people - finding an agency to guide us through the complete design process was superb.
  • The creativity and adaptable nature of the team. Nothing is too much trouble.
  • Personable client relationship you offer, work is good and to a high quality. Consultative process good as well.
  • You, the people. You always care.
  • Enthusiastic response - even to idiot questions!

Q: How much would I have to pay for a website?

Websites come in many shapes and sizes plus some have more complex functionality than others. There’s never a generic answer to this question. We’d need to get to know you and your goals before we could give you a specific cost. However, our lowest value for a website would be around £5,000.

Q: How long does it take to build a website or app?

There’s many factors to consider when planning a website or app build; feedback, development time etc etc. Again there’s no straight answer, but, we aim to be as flexible as possible, so if you have a really short deadline, tell us and we’ll let you know if we can do it or not. Either way, we always want to help as much as possible.

Q: Who is your perfect client?

Someone who has the same beliefs as we do, understands what good design is, wants to listen to our input, is ambitious and doesn’t take themselves too seriously.

Q: Why are you not based in London?

Because of where we’re based we can get into the heart of London via the train and tube within 45 mins. Which means we can service our London based clients really easily and not have to pay the steep overheads that London agencies face.

Do You Sell Cheese?

Nope, not at the moment, we’re a design agency,
but if we did it would look something like this...

  • Choco Cheese

Chocolate & Cheese - why the hell not.

  • Pom-e-Cheese

Pomegranate Cheese, sweet and savory, in case you can’t decide.

  • Rubber Pesto

It may look mouldy but at least no one will steal it.
